I must admit Biggins role in Poldark put me off him, almost, for life, I wanted to smack the conceited lickle so and so in the face. However I do love him now, Biggins that is,not Whitworth. Take Care

I wonder if you also noticed the total non-appearance of the Poldark's siblings, who only seemed to surface in the last episodes. They must have been out playing in the fields a lot, riding that non-existent pony, huh?
I have to agree. The right mix of sliminess and weakness in the face of Rowella, also exceedingly well played by Julie Dawn Cole, last seen as Verruca Salt. That undertow of a storyline was very well done, and probably added a bit of bawdiness to the whole thing - it's certainly about the only bit I remember from watching it as a 12-14 year old (unsurprisingly, considering the very very tame nudity). Biggins was, indeed, top notch.
Have to say that as the Reverend Whitworth, Christopher Biggins' portrail was superb. His character, though certainly unlikeable, and his ultimate demise, were highlights of what was a class series. One does tend to forget his serious roles.
Hats off to all the participants anyway for creating timeless entertainment.
I very nearly missed the final episode as there wasn't much warning by UKHistory that there would be consecutive episodes today. Nevertheless, I've managed to see the entire two series; pity they didn't make any more!
