Thanks for that Bella - what a honey he was...... Robin and Richard didn't like Downton Abbey - what??!! I adore it, and I am very discerning with my period dramas... ;) Bron

I am so sorry to hear about the death of the actor Richard Morant, I have not gotten the chance to write my review of what actors where the closes to the character that they played. I have always felt that he was Dr. Dwight Enys to the "T". He did an excellent job of being the sensitive, cute sexy doctor who always his put patients first.
Very sad news. Seemed like a lovely man, wonderful in Poldark and also Tom Brown's Schooldays. He is one of the few actors that I picture when I read the books.
Many best wishes to his family and friends at this time.

Very sad to hear of his sudden death. I loved his portrayal of Dwight Enys in Poldark and he will always live on in his work and in our hearts. I will remember him for his impish sense of humour and bubbly warmth of character which came across so well in 'Cult of Poldark'.

Interestingly enough, I was watching the 'Scarlet Pimpernel' filmed in 1982 today and who should pop up playing Robespierre but Dwight 1 himself (Richard Morant). I was also interested to learn that he was married to the daughter of Douglas Fairbanks Jnr and they had 2 children, but are now divorced.
See what you think of him playing the villain Robespierre ............
