Hi Caroline

Very interesting about the Aussie DVD's !

Assuming you mean they're "completely unedited" from the UK DVD versions (the Playback ones ?), this would then presumably make them the same as the earlier '90's VHS videos ? And if you're still recording the early morning repeats (and still getting up !?) are they beginning to look as though they're the edited Playback ones ?

Goodness knows how you'll remember it all or how to classify them, but great if you can eventually identify which contains the most scenes sometime ! Set up your own editing business perhaps ? lol !!

Well, the first of these repeats was on this morning and they are edited, a slightly different edit to what I have previously seen but edited nonetheless. It contained the extended scene in the coach on Ross's return home and a longer scene with Jud and Prudie when he wakes them up with the bucket of water. But it lost the fairly crucial scene after Ross leaves Trenwith where Charles, Verity and Francis discuss Francis's engagement to Elizabeth.

The saving grace is, that in the meantime, my Australian dvds arrived and, from what I can see, they seem to be completely unedited. So, my advice to anyone buying dvds is to get the Australian copies and not (definitely not!) the UK editions.

Whether I'll still record the UKTV Drama eps I don't know. It's a hassle for episodes that I now seem to have but it does help to get me out of bed in the mornings for work!

Hi Greg

Oh I will definitely be recording them, don't worry! Curiosity will probably still get me up at 5 though...

Hi Caroline

Unfortunately I haven't got Sky or cable ! But wouldn't it be better to record them all for permanent reference then check them slowly later on for any differences ? Save getting up at 5 am too !

Hello all

Just seen that, for anyone in the UK with Sky or cable, Poldark is being repeated throughout December on UKTV Drama. It remains to be seen which versions these are but I'll be sitting there (at 5:00am!) with my list of edited senes LOL.

Starts on 2nd December and runs through to the 23rd pretty much each day.
