Yes, well, we must be a small but faithful band. Thank you for the welcome; I've only been an Oregonian for about 1-1/2 years, and I ran across this website while looking for the videos...I just finished The Twisted Sword last night, will now have to re-read Bella, and have to go find my other books in storage to read them yet again. Something I am really looking forward to. Can't someone out there assume the mantle and pick up where WG left off? They've done it with Margaret Mitchell, Agatha Christie, Nero Wolfe and Dorothy Sayers, among others!!

Welcome to a fellow Poldark lover and Oregonian, to boot! I thought this board was never going to get active/any new members...:)

Hello, I am Melanie from Southern Oregon.

I have been a fan of the Poldarks since the 70's but didn't realize until just a month ago that there were now 12 books! The last I read was The Angry Tide, but I can remember almost every detail of those first books.

Then, on a business trip to Seattle I found a copy of Bella Poldark and renewed my relationship with this amazing family. Sadly, of course, I read Bella before I was able to locate the books prior, but am just finishing up The Twisted Sword. I have read and re-read the first books so many times I will need to buy new copies soon.

I, too, would love to find videos or DVDs of the series. I've checked on e-bay but for now, only VHS is available which won't work on my machine. Aren't there any video stores in the UK which will sell to us desperate Americans?

I am so glad to have discovered this site, and will keep checking back for more news of Ross, Demelza, Clowance, Bella and Harry. And maybe one of these days I'll be able to make it to Cornwall myself to see this most beautiful and beloved country.

Here's hoping there are new Poldarks in the making.

Melanie
