Geoffrey Charles became such a strong character as he grew up - in line with Ross I felt. He married for love, yet out of his own religion. He fought bravely for his country. He started to rebuild Trenwith and became a loving and strong character who was respected by his relatives and by the general populace. Although he did not get on with George - and never would - he achieved an adult relationship with a man who had been a dark presence in his youth.
I'm at the point in the book now where his wife Amadora is pregnant, and I'm looking forward to seeing what their child will be like.

Stefan Gates played the young Geoffrey Charles, but Richard Gibson (Herr Flick) played the older GC, in the scenes after Ross fights the duel with Monk Adderley. Stefan was most definitely the more angelic of the two!
Thanks! Geoffrey Charles is a big favorite of mine in the books, both as a child and an adult. He's so much different from Valentine! Plus, he played such a strong role in bringing Drake and Morwena together.
