Hi Jane

Thanks for the interesting report about Robin and the signing, hope you had an enjoyable time in Australia too.

Click on the link below for full instructions on posting pics, there's two options to choose from so start from the bottom post first.

Hello everyone

Having  returned from a month in Australia, and now caught up with postings here, I can give you a report on the booksigning in Truro.

I was surprised not to see more people there, but it had not been well publicised (as far as I am aware), with just a radio interview the previous day.  However, at 2.40ish,  there he was as large as life and very natural - no riding boots, alas!

Robin took time with everyone and was charming.   He signed some books for me (Xmas presents for diabetics) and  was surprised when I passed on the good wishes from all on the WGPLS.  Meredith was there and kindly took some photos of Robin and me.  I chatted with her for a while and they were enthusiastic about the market here and the hotel they stayed at.  Then a woman in 18th Century costume arrived -  Robin said he felt underdressed!

I don't think the group photo happened - but would say that quite a few came to get items signed - I saw at least one set of Poldark DVDs, also a Making Poldark - think a few attics had been rummaged through!

Below (I hope) is a picture.  Not very experienced transferring images so hope it works.

It made a great break in my day when I should have been packing.. and I bought more books than necessary to read on the journey.

Sorry cannot seem to get the picture on here - perhaps someone could offer instructions, please.  I can email pics, but that method doesn't work here..cry
