That's awful. I never stayed there but I did hunt it out and if I remember rightly, it's tucked away in a fairly crowded corner of the town. I'm surprised that there is room for 8 houses. Perranporth is already fairly overcrowded in places so I should think they really need 8 more...

It is understood that “Nampara Lodge” in Perranporth, Winston Graham’s home before, during and after the war and where he first began writing the Poldark novels is to be demolished and replaced by 8 houses. A Forum for those wishing to comment on the issue.
