I've not read Bella yet, I am currently re-reading the whole lot and am current near the end of Jeremy.

There's a fair few quotes in Bella, but those are obvious. I noticed some Greek mythology refrences in the The Four Swans, there's many levels to the Poldark stories.

I am currently reading Jeremy Poldark and although I have read many times before, I had overlooked Winston Graham quoting a line from Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice....the quality of mercy is not strained, it droppeth as the gentle rain fom heaven upon the place beneath.......supposedly Ross's thoughts as he awaits the outcome of his trial.  I gotta pay more attention to the finer detail....
