RE: Old fan, newbie to board

Hi again Bruce, have you taken a look at Youtube?  The whole of series 1 and 2 has been uploaded and you can watch all your favourite bits as often as you like.  You'll be in very good company here as we all love the Poldark books and TV series, some of us could even be accused of verging on the obsessive spectrum!!!wink

Wouldn't it be fantastic if someone took on the job of continuing the TV series from the end of series 2, end of the Angry Tide and brought back Robin and Angharad to revive their roles as the older Ross and Demelza, it's something we all dream of happening as there is a wealth of rich material to work with in the later books and so many brilliant characters to bring alive on screen.

Hope you enjoy the forum and feel free to pitch in and chat, new members are always very welcome.

Tide was nearly full. Mist lay in a grey scarf along the line of the cliffs.
.. and they walked home hand in hand through the slanting shadows of the new darkness.

Hi everyone! I'm Bruce from Kentucky. I remember the original series from the first time it was shown on PBS in the 70's when I was living in Virginia, and have been a fan since. I've been looking for the complete series for a couple of years now, it's been a little difficult finding anything close in NTSB format, though I've got a DVD player that's supposed to be multi format.
I hope that they don't remake the original series, as I don't think I'd enjoy it as much without the original cast!
A great show, I wish PBS would rebroadcast it, or at least release it on DVD. My two favorite characters were Ross and Demelza, and I hope that they have had successful lives since.
