Thanks Greg, and the info on the Future Membership area looks fantastic. I'd be delighted to be a member and your ideas for future events are very appealing. Costume ball - yes please!

Hi Holly and a warm welcome to an ultra keen fan - name changin's serious stuff ! biggrin

Two things please mr moderator. When I signed in at first, it said somewhere on the screen 'you can choose your avatar when you've signed up' or something like that. Please can you tell me how to do that.
If you click on your name anywhere you see it (in blue and always at the bottom of the main page when you're logged in) it will bring up your Member Info. Page, where you'll see a Profile ladder down the left hand side with various options including choosing your own avatar.

And secondly, my sister and I go every year to the Daphne du Maurier Literature Festival in Fowey - walks, talks, events of various kinds connected to her books and the places where they were set - and I wonder why there isn't something similar for the Poldark books. Is this something that the society might organise in the future?

Don't know if you've had a chance to have a good look round the main website yet, if not the quickest way is to click on the Forum " Future Membership of The Society" and you'll find all your answers in there. It's a great idea as I've often thought of visiting their Festival too.

Hope you find lots to interest you ! wink

Greg

Hi there, just joined the site and delighted to see that there are so many other Poldark obsessives around.  I've been reading the books and watching the series for many years. Am even seriously thinking of changing my name to Demelza...
