RE: another newcomer

Hi and welcome smile

Lucky you to have such a wonderful upbringing ! Wish I'd had so I'd be really interested to hear more of your experiences especially on the Boconnoc estate; did'nt you try to get a part or anything ! Any autographs or photographs left ?

We've got a Poldark word association game going on further down the page so having read all the books so many times you must be a real expert by now ! So wondered if you feel like joining us in a friendly game testing your Poldark knowledge against our local experts ? Certainly not me however....biggrin

hello, so glad to find this forum, thought i was the only poldark obsessive around, so reassuring to know there are more of you. My obsession began when i first read the poldark novels at the age of about fifteen, when i was seventeen the poldark cast and crew were filming the second series on boconnoc estate where i then lived so was fortunate in being able to watch the filming most days and meet the cast and winston graham. I have never forgotten that magical time. i went on to live in st. agnes and then perranporth, true poldark country and have to constantly remind myself what century i am living in as the landscape is so timeless. I dont think i will ever lose the fascination with all things poldark and am currently re-reading the whole series of novels for the fourteenth time!!!. look forward to hearing other poldark experiences.
