Watching the whole "Jeeves and Worster" series very interesting and enjoyable to see Mary right at the opposite end of the scale playing Worster's fierce and intimidating Aunt Agatha.
I caught the last 5 minuters of an old 'Wycliffe' episode this afternoon and thought I recognised a rather smart lady with a curly hairdo and a smart cardigan/skirt outfit. The credits confirmed it was indeed Prudie looking rather smarter than usual - Jud wouldn't have recognised her!
Prudie in widow's weeds, grief stricken that the body snatchers have taken her beloved 'usband, after spending all Jud's money on a funeral and then finds out that he aint even dead!:

A little late on my behalf, but RIP. She was truly a great actress. I particularly like the bits in the series when Jud has his mishap with the coffin, and when she keeps telling everybody the "broth is ready," and no one listens because they are arguing. Finally, Ross: "Where's that broth, Prudie?"
"I told 'ee!" As she gestures toward the fireplace. Funny. She will be missed!
A Forum of Condolence for Mary Wimbush who played Prudie in the Poldark series for those wishing to pay their respects. Thank you.
It is always sad to hear of yet another cast of the POLDARK series passing on. She was wonderful as Prudie always "brewing a dish of tea" or tipping a bit on the sly. Was this lady in any other productions?
