Has anyone else been wondering how much sleep did the people in the Nampara household get? They are often said to wake up at or before dawn, but also quite often they stay up late and rarely ever seem to have a problem with that.

So, how did they manage to keep it up? Perhaps they were making up their sleeping hours during the day? But the only time I can recall someone taking a nap during the day is when Ross comes home after helping to arrest the Camborne rioters at Francis Basset's orders...

What do you think?

If we go back to 'Ross Poldark' we know that Ross and Demelza worked long hours. Ross was occupied with Wheal Leisure and Demelza ran Nampara. People worked long hours at that time apart from Judd and Prudie. As Ross and Demelza got older and Ross became prosperous they were able to employ the Gimletts who were worth their weight in gold and other staff to help Demelza in Nampara.
