Just got the new Acorn Media Series 1 DVD's (US).

PBS chopped a *lot* off of the episodes, and I'm now seeing details I've missed for thirty years. Well worth the money. Series 2 is up for pre-order on Amazon.

I dont know if this is the correct place to post this BUT I wanted to let all the Aussie fans know that Poldark is now available on DVD here. I bought mine at the ABC Shop in Melbourne city store yesterday, they are $51 approx per set. Set 1 has 4 discs and set 2 has 3. It covers books 1-7 which are the best ones IMHO. Disc 2 of set 1 isn't the best quality, the pictures jumps all the time making everyone look jittery but the sound was great. I haven't watched the later ones yet so don't know how they are.
