The late Warren Clarke was absolutely letter-perfect in his role as the grumpy, irascible Charles Poldark.
Actually, all of the actors and actresses are perfectly cast as their respective characters.
Mr. Clarke will be missed!

I can see Warren Clarke as Charles - just like his version of Dalziel (in TV's Dalziel and Pascoe) - rough, bluff, letting nobody get in his way (the only way) and also reasonably intelligent!
