Tide was nearly full. Mist lay in a grey scarf along the line of the cliffs. .. and they walked home hand in hand through the slanting shadows of the new darkness.
Welcome aboard Penelope! hope you enjoy our super forum :)))
A passionate child rolling in the dust with her ugly dog; a girl driving oxen; a woman....Did anything else matter?
Hi Penelope welcome to the Forum. You'll be in pretty good company here then by the sound of it as a lot of members have read all the Poldark books many times over as WG's writing is so wonderful and absorbing you seem to discover new thoughts and angles every time.
As you've still got another 9 books or so to read, make sure you don't enter any of the Poldark discussion forums until you've read them all first as there's a lot of spoilers and giveaway plots in them. See "Beginner's" notice to the left of each forum to verify.
Hope you enjoy it all.... !

Hello my names Penelope, I've read the first three books and just downloading them all now to reaquaint myself with them and read the stories I haven't yet read. I love Ross and Demelza they had the most fiery but beautiful persona and story... Adorable.
I first found Poldark when I picked up Ross Poldark on my mums book shelf and I was hooked at the tender age of fourteen and was laughing at the Paynters antics and sobbing at Ross finding Elizabeth engaged to Francis and of course smiling when he met Demelza and slowly fell in love with her. I could go on and on but I won't lol/
