Hi Sabina, great to welcome you to the forum.

I have just finished re-reading 'The Loving Cup' for the umpteenth time and find, as usual, that I enjoy it more and more, like each of the books.  I think this book is definitely one of my favourites because it finds our lovely Poldarks enjoying a period of relative stability, happiness and contentment, although not without the odd breath-holding moment of course.  There are so many wonderful moments in this book which starts with a wonderfully happy home coming and ends with a magical story of love triumphant against all the odds.

That's certainly true, although it also left me feeling sad for the jilted people.  It's a good book, and the symbolism of the loving cup is certainly very powerful!

Hi, I'm new to this forum. The Loving Cup is the latest Poldark novel I have read in it's entirity, and have read all the preceeding ones, so I'd be happy to discuss any of these first ten novels with anybody. I have just started reading the 11th one, The Twisted Sword.

I think it's easy to develop a "crush" on Ross Poldark, especially as portrayed by Robin Ellis in the TV series. He is literally tall, dark and handsome, as well as a person of strong moral character.
