Vile, slimy, ill-mannered, selfish, evil, urgh, the list is endless. The first time I read his awful comments to Demelza, I gasped aloud as if he were speaking to me. A good knee in the groin might have sorted him out, even if only temporarily . . .

A horrible character!  The BBC actor was, I think, even worse than the character in WG's books.  I was of course relieved that Ross was not killed - and glad that Adderley was! (before he caused more trouble).

After the duel with Adderley, although I understood her reasons, I did not like the way that Demelza left without telling Ross that she was returning to Cornwall.
